Living Area & Kitchen

The living area's main feature is the large sun drenched north-facing bay window that views out onto the front cottage garden and to the bushland setting beyond.

A JetMaster fireplace, a gas heater near the kitchen fireplace, and a range of throws/blankets will ensure you are always kept snug and warm inside on those chilly mountain evenings.

A fully equipped kitchen, with period style cooktop & modern stove, comes supplied with all the cookware, utensils, glass & china you need should you wish to 'cook up a storm' or just enjoy a casual breakfast or lunch during your stay.

Bedrooms

The main bedroom (the 'Blue Room') offers a comfortable queen sized Federation bed, with electric blanket, matching lamps & side tables, and a pair of beautiful antique art deco wardrobes for your clothes/belongings during your stay. Each of the two windows looks out on to a charming garden view.

Elegant Sheridan fabrics, extra pillows & blankets, and white fluffy towels are also provided for your comfort & indulgence.

The second bedroom (the 'Red Room') is also furnished in a striking Sheridan pattern, with a double oak bed, table lamps and matching prints.

Although cosier than the main bedroom, it also offers the opportunity to provide a restful nights sleep, or the perfect day spot to relax, read and enjoy the sounds of nature outside your window.

Sunrooms

The cottage's two sunrooms also provide the perfect relaxation space for letting the 'outdoors in'. Both the entry area, with its distinctive orange lounge and the sideroom, with its French doors & daybed, afford the perfect opportunity to enjoy the weekend newspapers, or enjoy wine & cheese or even a mid afternoon cocktail with friends.

Gardens

The house is surrounded by a variety of native and other cottage garden plants, including roses, lavender, hydrangeas, box hedges, camellias, pine and apple trees.

The rear outdoor space includes both a paved entertaining area, and a romantic private backyard, ideal for summer picnics (you will find blankets and a picnic basket in the sideroom, & Blackheath has a terrific range of deli's and food shops to allow you to create the perfect gourmet picnic lunch).
